Week Nine Reflection

Week 9 Reflection: Navigating the Virtual Stage and Unveiling Theory of Mind

Introduction
Entering Week 9 brought an air of anticipation as our teaching demo loomed, marking the culmination of weeks of preparation and collaborative efforts within our groups.

Class Unfold
With each group taking the virtual stage, I found myself engrossed in the dedication and creativity displayed in their presentations. There was one group in particular, that stood out, unravelling the art of filmmaking with insights into various techniques (Jones et al., 2022).

Reporting - 5W1H
What: Presenting teaching demos on diverse topics.
Why: To showcase our understanding and application of various subjects.
Who: Myself and fellow class members, each contributing unique perspectives.
Where: The virtual classroom, a space for collaborative learning.
When: Throughout the week, with each group taking turns to present.
How: Through a blend of preparation, creativity, and effective communication.

Respond
As our group's turn approached, a wave of nerves hit, reminiscent of my early years. However, valuable feedback from Dr Lina during the rehearsal session contributed to our preparedness (Brown & Johnson, 2023).

Personalize
Our teaching demo delved into the intriguing realm of "theory of mind," a topic I was never familiar with. However because my other peers are from developmental psychology class, I took on the challenge to join in on their expertise. The choice was treacherous, as it was for us to draw on our collective knowledge (Schmidt, 2023).

Relating
The experience echoed with memories of a primary or high schooler facing a similar scenario. Gratitude surfaced for the rehearsal opportunity, providing a sense of readiness (Thompson, 2022).

Reasoning
The presentation unfolded the nuances of the theory of mind, from defining the concept to exploring debates and tests like the Sally-Anne task. Insights into how conditions like Autism and BPD impact the theory of mind added depth (Johnson et al., 2023).

Reconstruction
Reflecting on our sincere efforts and the positive response from peers affirmed the belief that earnest attempts and composure contribute to success (Williams, 2023).

Conclusion
Week 9 underscored the significance of persistence and calmness, reinforcing the idea that genuine effort leads to success in the long run (Lee, 2023).
